Highest campsite in Europe (1,950m), we are located in the canton of Valais (Val d’Hérens) in French-speaking Switzerland.
We are settled in a totally natural environment at the foot of the peaks of mountains and glaciers.
It is an ideal base camp for hikers, mountaineers and nature & majestic landscapes lovers.
The campsite has beautiful flat pitches arranged in terraces. The whole campsite is grassy.
A large part of the campsite has electrical terminals. The plugs are wiss or European.
A free WiFi (wlan) network is available from most parts of the campsite.
Bins with free kitchen herbs are available.
The campsite has large, modern and perfectly maintained sanitary facilities.
There are hot showers, dish washing sinks, washing sinks toilets, etc.
There are dedicated sinks for clothes washing, and washing machines are free for our guests.
At the reception you will find a friendly and competent welcome. We can provide you with good practical information about activities in the area, including walks and hikes.
We have a small grocery store with local and artisan products as well as some vegan products, gas, drinks.
Fresh bread is delivered every day starting at 8H00. You must order the bread the day before.

In the village of Arolla you will find 2 food shops, a sports shop, a post office, a tourist office and 4 restaurants.
Hot shower 1 CHF (4 min). Dish sink with hot water, wc and washbasin.
Hot drinks and groceries of local and organic products.
Exceptionally pure water live from the glacier, natural local products. We use only environmentally friendly cleaning products.
A free Wi-Fi (wlan) Internet network is available on almost the entire campsite.
Many hikes are from Arolla. All tastes and all levels!
A unique experience. Six mountin huts (shelters) are directly accessible from Arolla. These huts also make a nice target for a day’s walk.

Several major alpine routes pass through Arolla.
Crossing Chamonix-Zermatt, the Matterhorn Tour just before passing through Italy by Col Collon. The campsite is stage N ° 20 of the Alpine Passes Route Switzerland No. 6.
There are also many glacier hikes in the upper Val d’Hérens.
These glacier hikes require a good knowledge of the high mountains and equipment suitable for glacier walking.

Six huts (shelters) are directly accessible from Arolla.
They allow to make a step (eat, sleep) for the race of the next day. These huts also make a nice target for a day’s walk. Enjoy our exclusive service offered.
At the campsite, under certain conditions, we don’t charge for the nights you stay in huts.
For Example, you camp for several days with 2 people one tent and a car. The nights you stay on the camping we charge for 2 people, one tent and one car. The night you stay in a hut we only charge for the tent and the car.

All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs and all taxes (including the tourist tax / Adult = 1,10 CHF / Child = 0,55 CHF) included.
